Caleb" featured above - Rescued 20203 from High Kill Shelter in Texas. Read his story and the reality of his breed. Caleb now resides with his adoptive parents Allison & Troy and his foster sisters and brothers who come and go through rescue , and he loves them all!!!
A story that started about a dog named Scooby who I came to love and the reason I am involved in rescue now.... The reason K9 Rescue And Referral exist and was founded in 2003
A love for ALL breeds and mixes .....
There are also those who are the outcasts of society - unwanted, lame, too traumatized by past abuse, or too old, handicapped, or ill.
For these lovable, innocent creatures, K9 Rescue And Referral is a unique home and haven for them until we can rehabilitate and find them loving homes with loving people....
It all starts with love.......
They all deserve that chance!

My name is Ms. Kitty I am a pom and had to have surgery on my phemor bone and now have a pin in it, it cost rescue 1000.00 to save my leg.
Please help them continue helping dogs like myself and Baby Lexus by sponsoring my surgery
Ms. Kitty was rescue/surrendered by a breeder. She is very timid of new people at first but warms up failrly quickly. Ms Kitty came from a breeder into rescue . We noticed that she would lift her rear leg up and not stand on it, so we took her for xrays. The vet said it looked like she had an old injury probably a small fracture, and jumping or running around she reinjured the leg. Her phemor bone was broken She has recentley had surgery and had a pin put in the leg to hold it in place, she was also spayed and given all her shots and rabies. Her medical expenses cost K9RR 1000.00 Please donate a small amount to help the cost of her to have a normal life and the opportunity she so deserved to be a loved pet and companion. This is a sweet loving pom with loads of pom energy and kisses. Ms. Kitty is doing great now and still has to be confined somewhat to keep her off the leg for 6 weeks or unitl her staples are removed. She needs s home when she recovers with no children, and preferably a single woman as she appears to be skittish od men. We are taking application for the right family for Ms. Kitty so if you are the one, please do the application. We will call people back after she has recovered for a meet and greet with Miss Kitty, a little girl worth waiting for.
Ms, Kitty is still recovering from her surgery. But still needs help with her pre op and post op procedures.
