God bless you for the work that you do. I also am owned by a rescued pit, and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. She loves everyone, especially my 1 year old son. I thank God for her everyday. She and her "brother", our black Lab are funny clowns, lazy matresses, crazy energy and pure love. Keep doing what you are doing. The Pits need people like us to stand up for them and to show the world that they are family dogs, not gangster dogs!

Allison,
Little Man Larry now known as "Spencer" has been great. What a lover!!!For being so small you'd never know it with his bark and his attitude. It took him no time to become a part of the family and the mohawk was evened out and his full Yorkie coat is coming in beautifully. Thank you so much for saving him and choosing us for his new family.

Re: Sadie_
Allison,
Thank you so much for having such a caring spirit & being a kind person. Lord knows,....this world needs more like you!!
Yes, today I was really having a tough time,....but,....I know,...you will find Sadie the very best home. She is so adorable & "worships"
her Master. She loves a warm lap,....loves sleeping under the covers in bed & usually is ready to get up around 7:00 ish,....to "tend
to business"!! She is not a picky eater, but drinks a lot of water. She is really a good girl,.....needing someone that will be understanding
& give her a little time & a whole lot of LOVE!!! She is soooo afraid of People in general, especial men. She will growl but has never
bitten anyone since I've had her. LOVES to play with other animals, including cats. She loves things to chew on & toys
Thank you for taking her back & if EVER,....I get in the position of getting another little one,....I will contact you first.
May God's Blessings always be with you,
Your friend,
Lee

Allison -
I wanted to give you an update on Pepe. He is doing great
He has never had an accident in the house, destroyed anything, or jumped on anything he shouldn't. Even the guinea pigs.
Thank you for such a wonderful pet. We call him our little Mexican American dog. He is a joy.
Elaine Williams & family!

People at K9 Rescue are the nicest people ever. They saved our Dagger, the best dog ever, and we will never forget them for that and neither will he of course. Thanks for everything.

I just wanted to say I read Caleb's story and cried my eyes out. I was recently given a pitbull pup, Maximus; I was extremely frustrated about this gift, soley becuase of the stories I've heard. After only an hour with this pup I realized the stories are false. This pup is the kindest, gentlest, most loving puppy I have ever come across. For christmas my boyfriend and I decided to bring another pit into our family, Sasha arrived December 29, 2006. We are now a 2 pit family and we are planning on bringing in more as soon as we move into a place that has plenty of room for out "kids" to play.
Anyway, keep up the excellent work K-9 rescue. We need to spread the word that Pit's aren't the problem, their owners are.

Hey, Allison! This is a copy of what I just sent in to Pet Finder. We LOVE our babies!
Sammy and Bonnie "adopted" us about six weeks ago. It seems like they have always been members of our family.
Sammy LOVES paying in the back yard. He is a gentle, happy, dog, who loves to be with people and to be petted during the day. At night he turns into the mighty hunter dog! He patrols the yard for all things living, squirrels, lizards, possums, etc.
Bonnie is such a proper little girl. Though she is all about the food, she is very mannerly when she eats. She always sits to eat. She does have a tendency to "guard" the food dish, which is fine with Sam, he just waits.... Bonnie is a "mommie's girl" and follows me around and cries when I leave. And she helps take care of our "senior citizen" Chi.
Bonnie does take a few minutes to "welcome" guests. It makes Sammy very angry when she barks at people and he reprimands her, knocks her away from the guests and barks at her in a bark that he reserves just for that purpose. ! It is so funny!
We love them and we are so happy that they have come to live with us!

Dear Allison,
We just wanted to thank you again for providing us with the opportunity
to adopt Reno back in January. He is the perfect dog for us--we love
him so much! He was a little timid for the first three months but
always affectionate and loving. Then his true personality came out--and
now he is affectionate, loving, and so much fun! We take him for walks
at White Rock Lake at least once a week and we took him for a camping
trip back in May--he loved being outside the whole time. Reno is a
happy, healthy dog and our lives have been blessed through him. Thank
you for the service you provide for adoptive parents like us.
Sincerely,
Jason & Julie Bakker

Little girl, is one of the best dogs we have ever had, when we got her from you she was so shy, she is very lovable, to all. A rescue dog seems to make a great dog, maybe because of the situation they have come from. They just seem to know, they were RESCUED

Just stumbled upon you website and wanted to let you know how much I agree with you opinions on the Pit Bull breed. I have two lovely pit girls and they reside with 3 chihuahuas and a doberman..INDOORS. They are the best girls ever and they mother all the rest. The irresponsible owners should pay the price...NOT this precious breed. Keep it up!
